Former K-12 teacher, principal, and systems leader.
Always an eduator.
Always a coach.
I began my journey in education as a classroom teacher, building vibrant, high-performing learning environments where students thrived academically and grew as people. At a nationally recognized school, I taught English Language Arts and History with a focus on rigor, reflection, and relationships. My classrooms were places where critical thinking, ethical growth, and cohort-based learning came to life.
But teaching was just the beginning.
After principal training in Boston and at Harvard, I went on to lead high schools in diverse and dynamic settings—including charter networks and public IB World Schools. From managing through social movements and political swings to leading during the COVID-19 pandemic, I stayed rooted in one core belief: leadership is a form of coaching.
As a school leader, I focused on:
Building strong school cultures through community engagement
Developing systems that empower students and staff
Coaching educators to lead with clarity, confidence, and care
Over more than 15 years in school leadership, I’ve mentored dozens of educators, guided strategic school turnarounds, and designed sustainable systems that keep students at the center. I’ve never seen myself as a top-down administrator—I’ve always led like a coach: walking alongside, asking better questions, and nurturing the growth of people and culture.
This philosophy now lives inside the Principal.Ed Coach—a 180-day guide designed to support reflective, grounded school leadership. Whether you’re a new principal or a seasoned leader, it’s a tool for building your own rhythm, sharpening your mindset, and staying mission-aligned every single school day.
Coaching has been central to every role I’ve held in my career. As a teacher, I applied coaching principles to inspire confidence, growth, and resilience in the classroom. On the field, I’ve coached youth and varsity sports for two decades, building skills, teamwork, and character. As a principal and systems leader for more than 15 years, I mentored staff, guided strategic decisions, and empowered teams to excel. Whether with students, athletes, or professionals, I’ve always approached leadership as a coach—focused on fostering growth, culture, and the pursuit of excellence.
